Well, at the C Levels, yes - the Team of Facilities and IT usually comes about through executive mandate. But, I have seen this relationship grow out of necessity. The IT Director approaches Facilities(or vice versa) to work together on a project. Copier fleet refresh, etc.

Greg, are you seeing success in that regards - for the companies I mean? We are seeing it all over the board, but have found most success driving the process with CFO's to this point - who IT and Facilities are more often reporting to than not.

Interesting, as I see more and more companies consolidating the decision process pertaining to output devices - instead of creating a new position or giving the autonomy to IT - BOTH facilities and IT are in the room working together.

Very interesting. The Facilities person has been, in general, more "approachable" and more "human".
